Liliana De Simone Polania

La Dra. Liliana De Simone (n. 1985) es académica e investigadora interdisciplinaria especializada en estudios del consumo, forecasting y políticas para el desarrollo y comunicación estratégica. Es Profesora Asociada en la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (UC-Chile), donde forma parte del cuerpo docente desde 2016 y es Directora Fundadora del Observatorio de Consumo, Cultura y Sociedad (OCCS-UC) desde 2019.

Es Doctora en Estudios Urbanos (2018) y Magister en Desarrollo Urbano (2011). Su investigación se basa en el prácticas ciudadanas de consumo, la geografía humana, la sociología urbana y los estudios culturales para analizar cómo las transformaciones digitales y éticas reconfiguran las relaciones entre mercados, marcas, consumidores y sociedad.

Con más de quince años de experiencia docente e investigadora, ha publicado en revistas indexadas en ISI/Scopus y ha contribuido a volúmenes internacionales con Wiley-Blackwell y Springer Nature. Su trayectoria internacional incluye estancias como profesora visitante en la UC Berkeley (2015), la Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (2024) y la Universidade de São Paulo (2025), entre otras.

Su trabajo promueve un enfoque humanista y sostenible del consumo, haciendo hincapié en la sensibilidad cultural, la ética de marca y la ciudadanía digital, mediante métodos de investigación multimodales y transdisciplinarios. Multilingüe y con una trayectoria internacional, aporta una perspectiva intercultural al estudio de las culturas de consumo emergentes.
